How tuition works
What sets tuition
Tuition depends on the length of the lesson, whether it is private or in a group, and the teacher. We give you the figures in writing at the placement visit, and you decide after that.
Lessons of 30, 45 or 60 minutes
Private or group

Registration
A yearly registration opens the student's file and covers the placement visit and the scheduling of a weekly time. It is due when you accept a time with a teacher.
Billing
Lessons are billed monthly, and the plan covers the whole session whether or not every week is used. You can pay by autopay or at the front desk.
Siblings
A second student from the same family is handled differently, and we explain how at the placement visit.
Withdrawing
We ask for a month's notice before a student stops, and the month in progress is billed as usual.
Missed classes and make-ups
A lesson a student misses is made up when the teacher has a time, if you tell us a day ahead. A lesson the teacher cancels is always made up. Group classes are not made up.
Music books, instruments and other extras
A piano or keyboard to practice on, music books and recital extras are separate. Ask your teacher before you buy or rent anything, and we will say what to look for.
