Safety routines
Windows and open doors
Every lesson room has a window in its door, or the door stays open.
Parents may sit in
A parent is welcome to sit in on any lesson, and the lobby has chairs for waiting.
Who may collect a student
We hand a student only to the grown-ups on your list, and we ask for ID from anyone we do not know.
When a student is ill
A student with a fever stays home. Tell us by text or a call, and we offer the time to the waitlist.

Family policies
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
When to keep your child home
A student with a fever or a cough that is getting worse stays home. Tell us by text or a call, and we will offer a make-up time when there is one.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close for the winter break and on the holidays that close the schools. We text families the day before when weather changes the schedule.
Drop-off and pickup
A parent or the grown-up on your list brings a student to the door of the lesson room and collects them there. We ask for ID from anyone we do not know.
Watching class and recitals
A parent may sit in on any lesson. At recitals, families listen from their seats, and phones stay in a pocket during each piece.
Leaving the program
Tell us a month before a student stops. We close the file and offer the weekly time to the waitlist.
What to wear and bring
Students wear what they are comfortable in, and on recital days what they would wear to a family celebration. Bring your music, and a pencil.
Screens and phones
Phones stay in a bag during a lesson, unless the teacher uses one to record a passage for practice.
